This course is designed to provide advanced insights and skills in the field of business project management, with a focus on the challenges and opportunities of the digital economy.
Key learning objectives include:
- Mastering advanced concepts and methodologies in project management tailored to the demands of the digital era.
- Applying techniques for effective planning, monitoring, and controlling time, cost, quality, and risk to achieve clearly defined project objectives.
- Developing comprehensive project proposals through a structured, multi-step process, leveraging the most appropriate and critically assessed methods.
- Gaining a deep understanding of common risks associated with project implementation and strategies for their mitigation.
The course also emphasizes the development of key professional skills, including effective problem-solving, strategic communication, self-management, collaborative teamwork, and interpersonal competencies. Additionally, students will enhance their research capabilities and learn how to foster continuous personal and professional growth.
In this course, students will:
- Develop a thorough understanding of various business project management approaches and methodologies, and critically evaluate their application throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analyze the influence of resource limitations and project complexity on the successful achievement of project objectives within the context of the digital economy.
- Apply theoretical knowledge to the creation of comprehensive project proposals, responding to open calls for tenders while addressing specific constraints, tools, and mechanisms relevant to diverse digitalization contexts.
According to the examination regulation full attendance is intended for a PI. 80% attendance is required to pass the course.
This course combines online educational resources with traditional in-person learning methods to provide a dynamic and engaging learning experience. Students are expected to prepare thoroughly for each session to maximize their learning outcomes and contribute meaningfully to class discussions and activities.
The course delivery includes:
- Synchronous Kick-Off and Closing Meetings: Setting the stage for the course and reflecting on key learnings.
- Online Self-Learning Modules: Engaging with video lectures, audio content, assigned readings, and exercises at your own pace.
- Focused Coaching Workshops: Interactive sessions with domain experts, offering tailored guidance and practical insights.
- Theory Revision Classes: Recapitulating and solidifying theoretical concepts to support practical applications.
Active participation and consistent preparation from session to session are essential to successfully meet the course objectives.
- Quizzes 30% (individual assessment)
- Participation 10% (individual assessment in Theory Revision Sessions)
- Final Project Proposal 40% (group assessment - all deliverables)
- Final Project Presentation 20% (group assessment - final presentation)
