The role of digital technology in organizations has become increasingly important. Individuals, organizations, and governments are adopting digital innovations across all facets of life. Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain are reshaping how we live and conduct business. As digital technology becomes more pervasive and embedded in everyday operations, managing these innovations has grown not only more essential but also more complex. Organizations must navigate challenges like identifying relevant digital technologies, adapting workflows, and managing constant, dynamic change. Effective strategic management of digital innovation is fundamental for building organizational capabilities and addressing these challenges successfully. To thrive in this environment, future business leaders must possess a solid understanding of digital innovations and their strategic applications within organizations.

This course equips students to meet these demands by offering an introduction to digital technology and the development and management of digital innovations. Designed for those with no prior knowledge of information systems in organizations, the course covers essential foundations while also exploring the latest business and technology applications in this rapidly evolving field.
